Scheduling is the hardest job in field service. The Fieldmagic AI Scheduler is now live in early access, and it takes the guesswork out of filling the board - every day, for every technician.
What it does
The AI Scheduler looks at everything a good dispatcher would: the skills and licences a job requires, technician availability, service level agreements, statutory inspection due dates, site access windows and travel time between jobs. It then proposes a schedule for your selected jobs through a bulk scheduling wizard that you can accept, tweak or reject.
- Skill, licence and certification matching so the right tech gets the right job
- Compliance-aware sequencing that protects statutory inspection due dates
- Travel-time optimisation to cut windshield time between sites
- Bulk scheduling wizard that lets dispatchers select multiple jobs and generate an AI schedule in one click
- One-click recovery when a job overruns or a technician calls in sick

Dispatchers stay in control
Nothing is auto-dispatched without approval. The scheduler presents its plan alongside the reasoning behind each assignment, so your dispatch team can see why a job was routed a certain way and override it in a click. Every change writes back to the standard Fieldmagic schedule board and the mobile technician app.

The AI Scheduler is an assistant for your dispatchers, not a replacement for them.
Who it suits
Early access is aimed at teams running compliance-heavy maintenance - fire protection, HVAC, electrical testing and security - where recurring inspections, due dates and skill requirements make manual scheduling painful. If you run a mixed board of reactive jobs and scheduled maintenance, this is built for you.
Rolling out to customers
The AI Scheduler is being rolled out to Fieldmagic customers. If your account is eligible, your team will see the new bulk scheduling tools appear directly inside the existing schedule board - no separate opt-in required.
